1.   Introduction

The 1 March 2016 to 28 February 2017 financial year will be remembered for some time in agricultural communities. In the winter rainfall area canola and other winter crops performed better as the previous year, while soybeans and maize performed excellently in the summer rainfall areas with all-time record harvests. The PRF had much to be grateful for and that will be clear from this research report.
